In the recently concluded week (September 17 to 21), Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the main capital market of the country, saw an increase in weekly returns in 11 sectors. Investors in 11 sectors are taking profits on weekly returns to boost rates. On the other hand, prices have decreased in 7 sectors. Rates remain unchanged in the remaining 2 sectors. According to sources, the highest rate increase in the discussed week was in the travel sector. The rate has increased by 4.50 percent in this sector. The IT sector is second on the list with a 4.10 percent increase in rates. The services sector is third on the list with a 1.70 percent rate hike.

Besides, 1.50 percent in life insurance sector, 1.20 percent in paper sector, 10.30 percent in food sector and 10.10 percent and 30 percent in communication, cement, pharma, mutual fund and engineering sectors.
On the other hand unchanged ceramic sector and financial sector.
